Footbag is an American pastime that is fun to play and has the added benefit of being a healthy form of exercise!
Playing footbag offers a fun option for getting the 60 minutes a day of moderate daily exercise that is recommended by the U.S. Surgeon General. Kids and adults alike have so much fun playing that it doesn’t feel like exercise. We hope that footbag can play a part in helping people to reduce Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes.
Our programs emphasize play as our motivation and health as a side-benefit. We relate to those who have tried footbag by kicking in a circle with friends. We break down the basic kicks that people use and offer drills to help the learning process. Our presenters show off their expert skills as we introduce the sports of footbag freestyle and net. Everyone loves it when we are able to end in a hands-on experience playing footbag in small groups.
We aim to bring footbag to the masses with our presentations to school assemblies, and other large groups. We focus on basic techniques and the fun that people can have kicking. Everyone needs 30-60 minutes of moderate exercise daily, and we can’t think of a better way than kicking with a circle of friends.
